Welcome to DHPD Peer Support! Denver Health has had a Peer Support team for several years. Traditionally it has been behind the scenes working with people to better cope with the situations we all deal with on a daily basis, and recently we have become more focused on our colleagues’ well-being.
Whether this has been in a formalized conversation with a member of the Peer support team or just venting to your partner in the front of the ambulance, we are all responsible to each other and every one of us can make a difference by taking the few minutes to check on the people with which we share this profession. We hope that over the next few months we can continue to work as a division to make the health and wellness of every employee a priority.
DHPD website users can Login to see additional resources within the Division and I would like to offer an invitation to anyone who finds an article, class, seminar, or a gathering that you think promotes the health and well-being of your coworkers and friends here at Denver Health, please feel free to contact me and we will do our best to add it as either a column or calendar event in the upcoming newsletters and info here on the site.Looking for the Medic In Distress Protocol?
